Blacktop Wasteland (Click Here To Buy)

★★★★★

Blacktop Wasteland by S. A. Cosby is a fiction book about a get-away driver pulling one last job.

I read this on my Kindle on loan from the library.

Beauregard “Bug” Montage is trying to live life on the straight and narrow - raising his family, running his auto shop, and taking care of his elderly mother - but when things start to fall apart one after another, Bug decides that he has to return to his past as a robbery get-away driver in order to get the money that he needs to get back on his feet. Things don’t go as planned and Bug finds himself circling deeper and deeper into his old ways with no way out.

This book was fantastic, it is so engaging from both an action and an emotional stance, I enjoyed every minute. I also found out the book is going to be made into a movie and I literally can’t wait to see what they do with it. Some of the car chase sequences alone I imagine will be stunning, thrilling, and action-packed. 10/10 recommend you read this book.

If you liked Blacktop Wasteland, I also recommend Lightseekers by Femi Kayode, Long Bright River by Liz Moore, 1922 by Stephen King, and Broken Monsters by Lauren Beukes.

happy reading.

About Me

IMG_1517.jpg

Ms.Bjork here and I love reading.  Ever since I was a child, I have enjoyed the company of a good book.  Books are also a way that I get through the stress of living - nothing like escaping in a good story!  My career as a mental health counselor can be very intense at times - reading and running are the two main ways that I utilize self-care to support my own mental health and wellbeing.  Before starting this blog, in 2020 I read 128 books.  At the end of the year, I was like Dang, that's a lot of books! How can I get out there and tell people what I think? And so Ms.Bjork Reads was born.
