Razorblade Tears (Click Here To Buy)

★★★★★

Razorblade Tears by SA Cosby is a fiction book about 2 fathers seeking vengeance for their murdered sons.

I put this book on hold the moment I saw it was coming out and checked it out from the library.

When Ike and Billy Lee are 2 fathers who never accepted their sons for being gay. When the sons are murdered, they team up to figure out who killed them. Ike, who is Black, and Billy Lee, who is white, move past their differences and their preconceived notions of each other and their sons to find the people who killed their sons and make them pay. Between the interrogations and broken fingers, as the situation escalates, the two fathers come to terms with who their sons were and gain some insight about their racial differences.

This book is so good! I would literally give it #6stars if I could. The action and plot line are so engaging and the conversations about sexual orientation and race mixed in is done so flawlessly. Read this book, ASAP, it's a gem.

I have also read Cosby's first book, Blacktop Wasteland, and I highly recommend it. I bet you $5 both these books get made into great movies.

If you liked Razorblade Tears, I also recommend The Jigsaw Man by Nadine Matheson, While Justice Sleeps by Stacey Abrams, The Whisper Man by Alex North, and Hurricane Season by Fenanda Melchor.

Happy reading!

About Me

IMG_1517.jpg

Ms.Bjork here and I love reading.  Ever since I was a child, I have enjoyed the company of a good book.  Books are also a way that I get through the stress of living - nothing like escaping in a good story!  My career as a mental health counselor can be very intense at times - reading and running are the two main ways that I utilize self-care to support my own mental health and wellbeing.  Before starting this blog, in 2020 I read 128 books.  At the end of the year, I was like Dang, that's a lot of books! How can I get out there and tell people what I think? And so Ms.Bjork Reads was born.
