The Guest List (Click Here To Buy)

★★★☆☆

The Guest List by Lucy Foley is a classic whodunnit, keep you guessing, mystery-thriller kind of book. I bet you $5 they make it a movie.

I read this on my Kindle on loan from the library.

Bride and groom getting married on a remote island and everyone present brings their unresolved issues from the past. Drama alert. Someone dies and you don’t know who or why till nearly the end. Told from multiple view points and with a jumping timeline, bits are slowly revealed as you try to figure things out. The character development is done pretty well, however the bits that tie people together are a bit too outlandish to be believable. But it entertains. Also it’s British.

If you liked The Guest List, I also recommend When No One is Watching by Alyssa Cole, I’m Thinking of Ending Things by Ian Reid, The Woman in the Window by A. J. Finn, and No Day Like Today by Amy Teegan.

Happy reading -

About Me

IMG_1517.jpg

Ms.Bjork here and I love reading.  Ever since I was a child, I have enjoyed the company of a good book.  Books are also a way that I get through the stress of living - nothing like escaping in a good story!  My career as a mental health counselor can be very intense at times - reading and running are the two main ways that I utilize self-care to support my own mental health and wellbeing.  Before starting this blog, in 2020 I read 128 books.  At the end of the year, I was like Dang, that's a lot of books! How can I get out there and tell people what I think? And so Ms.Bjork Reads was born.
