The Jigsaw Man (Click Here To Buy)
★★★★☆

The Jigsaw Man by Nadine Matheson is a murder-mystery about a copycat serial killer and the Black British female investigator trying to solve the case.
I checked out this book from my local library after I saw @doomkittykhan reading this back in May.
Inspector Henley is still recovering mentally from when she arrested the Jigsaw Killer and put him behind bars. Henley is called away from her desk job and back into the field when dismembered bodies start appearing all over London bearing the same cryptic symbol that the Jigsaw Killer used. While trying to catch this new murderer, the Jigsaw Killer escapes from prison and now there are two killers she must catch…before they catch her.
This was an extremely entertaining murder-mystery. The short chapters are literally the type that leave you saying, “Okay just one more.” It did not shy away from the gore factor and it was fun how British dialogue would seep in. The characters have complex aspects to them and are far from perfect. Also I just found out Matheson is writing a sequel, yay!
If you liked The Jigsaw Man, I also recommend While Justice Sleeps by Stacey Abrams, Broken Monsters by Lauren Beukes, Sharp Objects by Gillian Flynn, and Long Bright River by Liz Moore.
Happy reading :)
