They Both Die at the End (Click Here To Buy)

★★★★☆

They Both Die at the End by Adam Silvera is a young adult book about a world where you get a phone call when you have 24 hours left to live.

I checked this book out from the library.

Just after midnight while sitting in his room on his computer, 18 year old Mateo gets a call that he has 24 hours to live. A short time later, while beating up the guy who stole his girlfriend, 17 year old Rufus gets the same call. Through a course of events, Mateo and Rufus use an app that connects them as Last Friends. They meet up and decide to spend their last 24 together, tying up loose ends and living their best lives.

This book had me at the title. YA or not, I knew I had to read it because yeah the title says they will die at the end, but will they??? I literally read it just to find out. #nospoilers

If you liked They Both Die at the End, I also recommend Scythe by Neal Shusterman, Before the Coffee Gets Cold by Toshikazu Kawaguchi, The Midnight Library by Matt Haig, and Ghost World by Daniel Clowes.

Happy reading!

About Me

IMG_1517.jpg

Ms.Bjork here and I love reading.  Ever since I was a child, I have enjoyed the company of a good book.  Books are also a way that I get through the stress of living - nothing like escaping in a good story!  My career as a mental health counselor can be very intense at times - reading and running are the two main ways that I utilize self-care to support my own mental health and wellbeing.  Before starting this blog, in 2020 I read 128 books.  At the end of the year, I was like Dang, that's a lot of books! How can I get out there and tell people what I think? And so Ms.Bjork Reads was born.
